Dismissive and disinterested staff, directed us to a table out the back, despite there being outside seating, which we would have preferred. After coffee order, quickly thrusting one of our coffees on our table, without explaining which coffee it was, or allowing us time to ask. Very limited menu, and refused to add an egg to a BLAT. Pretty poor effort all round, the polar opposite of Red Door Cafe, where we ended up eating.

Whilst the coffee was enjoyable and the general waitress service fine, the barrista was grouchy and very unapproachable, and I recall this from an earlier visit. I am regularly in Leura and this was my third visit to this cafe. Sadly the food was just as bad as my first visit. The roasted veggie sandwich had no flavour, was completely uninspiring and overpriced. It basically consisted of roasted tomatoes which were huge, floury and tasteless on a scraping of avocado buttered toast with a sprinkle of feta and limp, 'beyond it' spinach leaves. No chargrilled eggplant, peppers or pumpkin or what one might usually expect from a roast veg sandwich. Disappointing. The carrot cake was also stale, dry and the icing tasted like the butter was rancid. Cutting corners on the freshness of food served is just unacceptable for a cafe. Judging by the numbers of tourist buses out front, it is clear they survive by catering to one-time tourists. Sound like their dinner menu is better but avoid this cafe for lunch

The place is also quite relaxing and cosy with nice quiet ambient music playing. I would definitely go back again and recommend it to family and friends.

What an amazing little cosy atmosphere! The Czech people working there are super nice and the Czech dark beer I tried was incredible delicious. I much recommend their schnitzel, the chicken was so succulent.

Google maps said 7am but didn’t say breakfast service doesn’t start till 8am. The very grumpy barista told us they were only serving coffee and sent us and another couple up the road to another cafe. The place looks great and I hope to visit and give it a fair go soon. Wondering what the rest of the staff are like.

The food was fantastic and quite unique with a very Eastern European style. They serve a variety of Czech beers and reasonably wines from New South Wales.

The owner was absolutely wonderfull. She enthusiastically told us about the restaurant and showed us around, was very helpful in deciding what to eat and showed genuine interest in asking about where we were from and our plans for our stay in Leura.
